Modify 4motion permanent 4WD?

1st note: I am not familiar with the system 4motion, hence the question.

As far as I know the system is operating on its own deciding which wheels the power should be delivered too.
Am I correct so far?

Secondly, I have read that the system has three stages. 2WD, 4WD (65/35) and 4WD (50/50). Wikipedia as source. Ha ha.

My question is...how to tell the system to use 4WD permanently. Would prefer 50/50. Someone here accomplished this?
The reason for the question is that 4motion w124 are cheap in sweden. Would be fun with 50/50 in the snowseason and still have the comfort of a w124.
Last winters Subaru was fun but uncomfortable.

If you could lock

it in 4matic full time you would defeat the abs system.Just put on some good winter tires in the snow season and let it work as intended.
