I have been talking to a guy about a set of rims for my 1986 300E i cant measure what size tire/wheel is on the car because it is in the shop getting rebuilt. I have had the car less than a week and want to start customizing it. The guy i have been talking to has a set of 17inch amg rims. He says that across the rim it measueres 18 and a half inches yet the wheels say 17. he also told me the stamping on the rims so im not sure if this will help but 7 1/2jx17h2rt37 on two of them and the other two are 8 1/2Jx17h2e130

so the rears are 17x8.5 et 30 and the front 17x7.5 et 37 they should fit fine with 225/45/17 tires...

so they will be able to fit on an 86 like i dont even know how big the tires are on the car

i imagine they'd either be 45 or 50 series at the most..especially if they're 17's
