2nd Cab

My 53K white Cab landed yesterday at my local Inde shop for a once over.

Pics coming, but this looks like a dream deal now that it is here, I paid:
$10,500 for car and $1200 to DAS shipping left coast to right coast.

Looking real good, it does not even need fluids. Paint is great interior is excellent, top works right, no leaks, runs great

Can anyone tell me...what is the gold package? Is it just the 3 trim pieces (e320 and benz logos on hood and trunk) or does it have something to do with the "fine tuning" seat adjustments mounted directly on these seats? Anything else?

I think this winter we will see Cabs at an all time low - and some seriously surprising bargains will be had. I was going to watch for one in the winter, but this one was the bargain I was hoping to find if I waited.

Again, my car budget is pretty well shot for 2008-2015. Hopefully, I won't need ANYthing til then.

congrats!!! Why were you looking for another cab?

Are you going to collect these cars, or do you really just love them that much??

Sweet! I want a cab also, prices are dropping, now its just a matter of which one to choose....

Gold package is probably just after market gold plating of the emblems. Normally, the emblems on the trunk lid, but I have seen the front start gold plated as well as the whole grill frame (yuck)

BigPete- I am not sure, I may pass this silver Cab to my gf, brother or nephew. Or maybe the new Cab will hide in the garage a few years as my "next" car. At this price and condition, I wanted these choices.

2Phast: The trunk emblems and mount on the hood are gold, but not the grill. I am not much for mixing gold and chrome this way.

The additional seat adjustments are unique though, real nice...

And in my wake, a very happy:

I echo the Cab's are headed towards being even a greater value in this market.

This car arrived in my driveway last night finally!

Since I am car-broke, I threw a set of 4 goodyear comfort treads that I had in the garage onto the chrome 8 hole 15" wheels. I've been out all day. Has work called?

This seat adjustment mechanism is not on any other car I have, it is great, it fine tunes your back support with airbags. I am assuming part of the "gold package"

License plate bracket = broke
got one?

Only 94-95 sedans had the chrome strip, coupes and cabs retain the same trunk design as the pre-94 models.

Congrats on another cab.

You have the really rare Orthopedic Seat Option which had nothing to do with the gold trim package......

Please let me know if you want to trade seats! ha ha

No, I do not mind- I am thrilled to say...
paid to seller: $10,500
UNFORTUNATELY, I found the car in CA and I live in NJ, so my costs included DAS shipping and a dreaded 5 week wait between paying for and having the car. DAS cost just under $1200.

I like these orthopedic seats better than my Sportline's Recaros. They are incredibly comfortable. You can shift the support incrementally in any direction. I need directions, hopefully they are in the packet.

Missed the picture in that last post.
