GTG: Seattle Dec 13th

Hey Guys, in the Pacific NW and BC

There was some talk, about a month ago, here, on a Ferarri site, and on 500Ecstasy of a GTG near Seattle. This is meant to support a Christmas charity, I believe.

I do not have anymore info. except that it is meant to bev on the 13th of December and there will be cars from several different marques attending.

I, for one, would like to go. Does anybody know anything about this?

I asked about this on a Washington/BC gtg thread, but I want to emphasize that this is a new meet.

Who would want to go?

Rik?
Wolfie?
BIGPETE123?
Ben?
Albert? Passport not a problem, here!
Mark? - oops, no. You've made your car beautiful again - I won't ask you to risk it!

Myfirstbenz? or others in the area?

Here it is. I've been reading all this stuff about 500ecstacy not working so good luck. I couldn't load it.

Edit*** 500Ecstasy.com | everybody get your ROLL on ... Toys for Tots

December 13 , 2008 Time: 1:30 pm Place: 272nd park n ride. exit 147 off I-5 just north of tacoma

this is what I could gather from my google search. I remember reading about the gtg last year. I think it said something like 200 cars!? Oh and it also says to bring a toy for the charity... it's all in that thread if anyone can open it.

Due to a recent blow out on one of my tires my 124 needs some new shoes. If I get them before the 13th (very likely) I will be able to make it.

Thumbs up

We're gathering momentum, I see...

List looks like:
  1. 190
  2. Rik
  3. Berti
  4. Ben
  5. Starcar
  6. and Wolfe, of course
"a-man" might come up from Portland, too.

Thanks for the research, Wolfie!

Pete, hope you can make it, as well.

It'll be good to meet you, Starcar.

Lookin' forward to seeing everyone there. I hope there are more guys that can come.

Yeah I'm fine; there was no accident and it happend on the freeway. Actually for how bad it blew out I'm very surprised there wasn't. There were five chunks blown out on the inside wall. Didn't damage the rim though which is very nice. It was that one tire that wouldn't hold air. I fixed the leak and it was holding just fine for the past few months until now. Any recommendation for new tires?

Winters or summers?

I'd get a good all season....ask around to what some are using on this forum like 2Phast or 190E-16V..

I only run summers.....if that's what you want too, get the TOYO T1R's...

Geez, Ben!

Sorry to hear about your tire, but you must have the best source for advice, and maybe even, an employee discount from your boss.

However, if you're running 18" rims, or 16's for that matter, most people (with W124 500E's) seem to be happy with all-season, Michelin Pilot Sports. Those are argueably, the highest rated.
The recent Goodyear Eagle F1's, are the newest, closest, rival.
I bought Pirelli Zero Nero's which I like, and rate high at the TireRack, but I don't know anyone else using them.

You would like any of those - whatever you get the best deal on.

Glad you're OK. Hope to see you on the 13th!

definetly! I'm sure the bellingham and vancouver guys could meet at a rest stop or something. there is one just south of bellingham but I'm not sure of the exit number - I'll look into it.

As for the seattle guys, one of you would have to set a spot, get on it starcar! but make it easy please

berti, here is all the info I could find without having access to that link:

December 13 , 2008 Time: 1:30 pm Place: 272nd park n ride. exit 147 off I-5 just north of tacoma

I was thinking that BC/Bellingham/Seattle crew should meet somewhere close to Seattle, so we can all drive together to meet others. My suggestion is Northgate Park and Ride by Northgate Mall, which is right off the I-5. Park and Ride is probably the best because Northgate Mall parking will be packed that day and it's only two blocks away from the mall (plenty of parking). Lets meet around 1200-1230. Here is the link to Northgate Park and Ride: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...y+4&iwloc=addr

Here is the link to where we are going to meet the rest of people: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=...19226&t=h&z=16

Thoughts/suggestion?

Good idea, but timing is a factor as the border is a bit of a wild card. I suggest we all carry radios to co-ordinate with stragglers.

Any other thoughts???

Starcar:
sounds good!

Bellingham and BC guys:
here is the rest area I was thinking of. We could meet there, then drive the rest of the way in a group if ya'll want to. we should be leaving there by about 10:30-10:45. Ideally it is a one hour drive from bow hill the the northgate mall. So this would give us a little bit of play in our ETA
