Christianlie, I've done a quick DNS whois lookup on the cscarparts.com domain and it appears that its a fairly new website (Record created:2008-10-02 16:23:20). I also did a quick search and came up with this: https://mbworld.org/forums/search.ph...r&userid=97189 seems like your the only one referring as many people as possible to your very favorite website....I'm skeptical at best. ANYONE thinking about ordering from this cscarparts.com website make sure this is a legitimate site, thus I'll wait until someone else has raving reviews before I shell my money over. This is unless Christianlie can provide some sort of proof that he or she has actually ordered from them. BEWARE!

I don't think I stressed enough the site I posted earlier.

I ordered my motor mounts Thursday at 9:30pm, and got them this morning before I woke up. I did not pay for express shipping. Just the standard $7.00 fedex ground. MA to CA in lass than 36 hours.

I checked today and the website I used (www.rockauto.com) has them priced @ $29.00 each, whereas AutohausAZ has them at around $45.00 each. Even eBay can't beat them, as theyre listed at around $65.00 a pair.

EXTREMELY fast shipping, rock bottom prices, and my orders have always been accurate the very first time. Everyone boasts about how great customer service is when there is a mistake, but it's nice to never have a mistake in the first place.

Uh, but WHAT BRAND parts did you receive? If Authaus is selling OEM parts and RockAuto is selling Taiwan copies, you'll be a lot better off spending the extra $16 each...

mmm great point AMGDave, autohauz has always sent me OE replacements that are almost always stamped "MADE IN GERMANY" I did however get brakelines that were made in italy ...yet, so far so good

I would hardly consider Beck/Arnley or FEBI-Bilstein "Taiwan copies". Even if they were selling an off-brand product, that's likely what you would get with eBay, and it's still cheaper.

I'm not saying that it's a 1 stop shop for every thing you're going to need. By all means, still shop around and decide what place has the best option for you. Just putting it up as a cheap, well established and trustworthy website to add to your indexes.

Febi or Bilstein may be OEM for some items. Beck-Arnley is not. If the site tells you what brand of parts you are buying, that's fine... decide if you want that brand. Note that some of the great prices are only on off-brand items... for example, for tie-rod assemblies, there's a $12 item made by Uro (translation: junk) while the Febi part is $36. For (W124) ball joints, they don't even offer any OEM items, only brands that are not Mercedes OEM's. For German cars, you generally do NOT want to buy "American" brand parts like TRW, Moog, Beck-Arnley, Monroe, AC-Delco, etc. [flame suit on]

Worse yet, Rock Auto shows ball joints for a 124.032 (1994 E320), when they don't exist! All 124's with M104 (and M119) engines have non-replaceable ball joints. The ball joint they show is for diesels, or 300E's with M103 engines. Be careful with catalogs like this... it's always best to use the Mercedes EPC to look up your part numbers, then enter the part numbers at the website. That goes for all part places, not just RockAuto, btw!

Very good post.

I don't agree however with Uro Parts being junk. Ive used them to rebuild nearly an entire E30 BMW and the car ran perfectly solid for the 3 years my friend owned it. They do have a factory in Taiwan, so maybe I was lucky enough to have over 30 ordered parts come from a different facility.

Also, my ball joints/tie rods are beck-arnley, and theyve held up fine for the 18 months Ive had them on. You definitely can't go wrong with OEM parts, so you can afford them go for it. But, I guarantee that the vast majority of the people who will read this thread in the years to come will be trying to find the cheapest solution for their parts. Come on, the cars are nearly 20 years old as it is.
