My Attempt at Console Refinishing (pics)
While I was at the junkyard I nabbed a center console for testing refinishing.
Gonna use Red Mahogany as the stain. We'll see how it comes out!
So far the paint thinner has taken 4hours to get to this stage that the pictures are at....It's a tough one!
Gonna leave it overnight and hopefully tomorrow it will be all gone and ready to be cleaned and sanded. I plan to clean, sand 200, clean then stain and give it to my dad as his work has a paint shop that they can do the clear coat really well he said.
