Bumper Kits for 95 E320

So living in Chicago and getting 45 inches of snow in the last month or so my bumpers are finally on their final leg. What kits are out there that you guys have experience with. I know a bunch of guys talk about the Wald kits but what else is out there and what kind of $$$ for them. I am not planning on lowering or changing rims (for now) so I am not really looking for to radical a change but I am not opposed to it . I just figured that if I have to replace the plastic anyhow that I should look at all my options. Any pics you guys have would be awesome.

Thanks

Im sure socalcarbon has better quality, but you should check out raceonusa.com also.

The prices on the front bumpers are great. I checked out their product in person also since its about 12 miles from my house, and the quality seems solid enough. Definitely better than fiberglass. My only complaint that I noticed was that their AMG style kit is pre-molded for a US plate. So if I were to get a plate delete panel, it would not fit.

rivacal...any body shop should be able to fill that smooth....much better than a delete panel.

If you have lots of snow and they beat your factory, higher sitting bumper, STAY AWAY from wald and other fibreglass kits. Either true AMG urethane or maybe the raceon kits rivcal is talking about.

Rivcal, can you do me a favor? On the site they SAY they have sedan kits for the AMG Gen 2 like my front but the pictures only show wagon rear bumpers, which WONT work for the sedan. I'm tempted to pull the trigger on the replica gen 2 sides and rear if they have em but I'd love it if you could confirm that the rear is in fact for the sedan.

LMK....

Ive been considering having it filled in. Not sure if its worth the money though.

Ill be out there next week so Ill see if they have time to pull the kit out for me. I only asked to see the front bumper last time since im not a fan of the AMG style rear bumper. Ill keep ya updated...

Is there any company that makes a 500E lookalike bumper for the regular W124 as 320/400 body ?

Goeckel in Germany has the 500E look without the wide stance.
No sales channel in USA..
I'm considering importing one of their "Elegance Line" kits.

http://www.goeckel.de/mercedes_benz_...erodynamik.htm

Vitt Japan has the wide stance 500E conversion but quite expensive.

Are the Vitt kits fiberglass or closer to OE bumper mat'l. I would think if your pushing through snow you would want either a heavy duty CF or a urethane like stock.

Actually the goal is that My 124 will become the second car and I will have something by next winter to rack up the miles on.

Does anybody on this site have any of the raceonusa kits? I like the look of the Type-13 one...but how is the quality?
http://www.raceonusa.com/index.php?m...oducts_id=1347

I would love to add a kit to my wagon

The kit I went and looked at was from raceonusa. Im going back as soon as the rain stops so if you guys want to wait and see how fitment is, just hang on maybe another month until I can get my paint supplies.

I just bought a new snowboard, boots, bindings and a GPS last weekend as I went up to Big Bear (300TE's first time in the snow -- She handled it like a pro! )

...I won't be looking to buy for at least another month or two...so I look forward to your review in the near future if you do it! Make sure to take lots of pics of course

Man I didnt know you were in socal. If you snow board you should hurry up and get to ralphs. Tomorrow is the last day, but if you buy 10 smart water or vitamin water products you get a free lift ticket to snow valley.

Back on subject though, I think Ill be getting the paint on or around the 15th of March, so I will let you guys know how much trouble fitting the bumper gives me.

2013 E350 wagon cuprite brown; sold:2014 ML63; R500 Saks Edition; R500; more W124s than I can count
I am also looking for a front lower spoiler so that I can retain the stock bumper cover; much more parking lot friendly than a fiberglass cover. I priced a full front cover from socalcarbon and while the quality is undoubtedly good, the price is the same as an entire body kit from raceonusa [!] which puts it out of my price range. I liked the goekel lowers but they haven't responded to two emails...

Here is my email with SoCalCarbon

Hi Robert,

I have a AMG Gen II front bumper available for the w124. The price is $600 + S&H.

Kind regards,
Albert S.
www.SoCalCarbon.com
Little out of my price range, but as far as I know, for the AMG Gen II bumper that is a reasonable price.

lots of cars
About raceonusa, I bought a some stuff from them and the kits are ok but you will need to add way more fiberglass for strength on the front bumpers. The side skirts and rear bumpers are fine but the front bumpers i would not buy from them. They also need a lot of block sanding and filling.
