fuel injector removal/cleaning

What is involved in removing the fuel injectors? I want to send them off to be cleaned, flow tested etc. My mechanic says at least one of them is beginning to throw off a un-equal spray and that is what is causing a tiny miss at idle, well, maybe higher rpm but you can only feel it at idle. Just had my 100,000 mile tune-up which included a new wiring harness that finally went. Also appreciate comments on the value of injuctor cleaning. Iwas looking at a site, www.witchhunter.com, who knows whats in a name(?) and they charge $18 bucks each.
Comments?
THanks!

From my limited knowledge...it would be cheaper/better option to just have them replaced as opposed to having them cleaned and flow tested.

have you priced replacements? they range from just over $100 to $252. Of course the $100 ones are where I base my decision from, that makes $18 look pretty good. I know one is probably bad, probably, which is part of the problem, which one. the $18 times 6 would at least tell me if one is totally not repairable. My main question is how hard is it to remove the injectors? Have you done this? Appreciate any comments. I figure that no comments are bad comments.
thank you for replying!

There is a very cool tool that you can get to identify which injector it is. I have one and it works perfectly. It is a stethoscope that is electrically amplified. You wear headphones and it has a probe. You can place it against the injector and the sounds of a fouled injector are very obvious. It is also great for cam noise, lifter issues and all kinds of stuff. For $25.00 it is a great tool. That way you only have to buy one injector instead of a set. Here is the link.
