Electric Windows

'88 LHD 260e.

Passenger side electric window does not work (hasn't since I bought the car).
When I depress the switch, there is a click after a few seconds (whether I press to go up or down) but the window does not move.

Any suggestions & if needed, how do I remove the motor ?

Also, the drivers side has now decided to slow down to the point that it takes a whole minute to put the window up or down (used to be fine until this morning)

Many thanks,

Mike

Question You can try cleaning the switches...

If that does not work, you probably need a new motor(s).
Did you spill anything on the console lately?

Slow or not working windows

If you brought your car to a Mercedes dealer they would tell you that you need new regulators. The motors rarely go bad during the life of the car but the regulator channels dry out and the plastic "foot" that travels through it siezes. Remove the door panels and lubricate the regulator channels with atf.P.
