Wagon Issue: Rear Hatch/Door Closing Issue
Just wondering if there is a way to adjust the rear hatch/door on the wagon so that it closes a little softer. Mine will slam down if you let gravity take over. I know with the closing mechanism it should come down softly and then let the assist do the actual closing of the door.
Is there a spring or something I'm missing?

There's a large ram hidden under the roof liner. It should self-raise with little effort and damp the closure. If it's toast she'll slam when you apply light closing inertia. Heavy door. The gas charged ram dies when their seal wears out losing pressure. Winter temps seem to finish 'em off.
