wagon wont start ..dead car--- ANY ADVICE
ok heres my stituation..........when the car started i have to shift & play the gears either put it to neutral or in between park & reverse.... i am thinking may be the neutral switch ? starter? the ignition?
i tried hooking the car to a power supply may be the batt is bad but still the same, all electric components work even AC, lights & horn ....i tried rocking the car back & forth .. still wont start.. dont know what to do HELP ... any advice????????
I STHERE A DYI HOW TO CHANGE THE NEUTRAL SWITCH ??? ALL I KNOW IS ITS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TRANSMISSION ( thats what the shop told me )

can the OVP relay cause the car wont start too ?

"Usually" it only causes the car to die. But its not unheard of.
If it has never been replaced, if it were me, I'd buy one to be safe. Start by checking the fuse first of course.

ovp, nss, and fuel pump relay
yeah I put off this repair for too long by starting the car in neutral ... good interim solution, til it left my wife stranded : ( . I believe that by starting in neutral too much I killed the OVP (also a repair postponed) which finally killed the car on the road. I also replaced the fuel pump relay. Goes to show you that one thing leads to another.... a snowball turns into an avalanche. Anyway, replaced all and she's back on the road. A word of warning to the wise.

plastic bushings
also replaced the white plastic bushings above the neutral safety switch - mine was so old it was split in half and the metal rod from the shifter lever was distorting the metal bracket attached to the NSS.
