That looks nice although LEDs will make it look alot better like you said. You can see it fade in some spots and LEDs will take care of all that.

Are you planning on doing the whole interior like that?

Where would one find the blue bulbs? I really like that look. It would go well with my blue tinted bulbs in headlights.
Got a link for LED's?

Are the 203's usually backlit or did you do that yourself?

How exactly does light shine through the solid faces?

maybe i didnt understand your question... but the speedometer numbers are white i believe and when the light turns on inside there is some white plastic pieces that go around it were the numbers and such are and transfers the LED light to the surface of the numbers etc

So youre saying the 203 is already backlit, just with a different color? I thought the 124 had lights in front of the gauges. I may be wrong though, Ive never had one apart.

We are front-lit :C

Well, with the exception of the status lights on the bottom.

Yes we are, however, what would keep one from scanning in your guagefaces and printing on inkjet transparency paper. Numbers, and indicator lines would be clear and the rest black, lay a 1/8th inch thick opaque acrylic sheet under it and illuminate it from leds on the edges. I think in theory that would work for our W124's.

Looks nice Berti!! Loving your springs btw

That may work acutally. A cheaper solution to the Plamsa gauges and I won't have to lose my efficiency meter.

I personally would cut out the areas I want back-lit and then maybe fill it with some clear acrylllic, less a chance of stuff not lining up proper.
