cabin filter 1990 300e
I recently ordered some parts for my 1990 300e (w124) from partsgeek.com, some filters etc. The phone rep said I should replace the cabin filter so I got one (bosch p3631). I have Bently manual and it describes replacing this filter on some later models but not the 90 model. The description looks very similar, but before I tear into it (looks simple) does anyone know if this is the correct filter (two piece). The filter came with some instructions for 94-95 models. Also, I could use a better manual than the Bently Owners Bible, any ideas? And maybe a better parts supplier than Parts Geek. Thanks for any advice.

500E Signal Rot
The cabin filters were first introduced in 1994, yours does not have them. But you could retro fit one, or you could custom fab some like I did.
See www.2phast.com/500e and look under Misc Repairs/Upgrades to see what I put together.

Mercedes
If your Mercedes is equipped with a cabin air filter, ALLDATAdiy.com shows it would be underneath the wiper motor under the hood.
