RHW - I like what you have done so far. The car looks real clean and fresh. I would not paint the rims as I think they stand out all by themselves.

Thanks Ron, was great to see the photo-chop, and I actually like that view of white.

But the car's theme has been a subdued look, and I am going to try a set of aero I et37 one piece wheels painted body white next week. My guess is I will use these Carlssons just as they are but I wanted to see that other look first.

Enzo, my Benzo
OMG....no. White wheels is so 1980's miami vice. Regardless of the wheel design, it will date your car, not make it look more modern.

Please, for the love of Carlsson, don't paint them white!!!

The 1/6 Evos above were refinished stock color and are mounted on my white Sportline.

I have not been as happy with Mono Cab's first pass as I'd hoped. Was aiming at a newer look and tried several wheels that I usually love but...

These go on tomorrow for a looksee (17x7.5 from 04 S500):

I am also bringing back the chrome grill surround, and (tips hat to Enzo!) installed chrome exhaust tip. And, the jack points have long since been darkened.

(white out grill = way too Nissan looking)

Make sure you confirm the offset of those S class rims. Have only seen them with ET46. There is a picture of a w124 sedan with them mounted in the picture thread but I don't remember the page number.

Thanks Ron,

You are correct and the seller was not.

I know I am a spacer away from fitting...
had seen the wagon pic so the seller claim (et35) made sense.

Update:
SGwheelsonline = good seller on ebay, Andre immediately offered return based on his listing mistake. Shipping charges = his dime. Then he offered a few alternative wheels. I bought wheels from SG a year ago with no issues.

In answer to my question on the other thread,
stock struts n shocks with upgraded / lower stance is in my opinion a significant incremental upgrade. IE, I am doing a few too many upgrades at once, I can put off Konis and limo sway bars, yet the spring upgrade alone, dropping center of gravity 1.5+ inches = inexpensive. 55K miles on the stock suspension at this time, I figure early replacement of everything w these 18s.

pardon the iphone pics in the rain and at night
