I have a 1995 e420 and am performing its 84,000Km service. The check-list I have (from Mitchell Repair) has an item simply listed "Lubricate chassis". I'm not sure exactly what this means and can find nothing in the various manuals I have. There are other specific lubrication items listed (e.g. "Lubricate throttle linkage") so I don't think they are referring to general purpose lubrication, but who knows.

Does anyone have any ideas?

my guess would be to use some silicone spray or something of that nature and lubricate the control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rods and what not... but who knows i could be completely wrong
