I just saw this clip...and..wow....

How can I make my car handles like these!!!!????
I know it's 500e, but I am not interested in the power, but I am interested in the handling!! Look at these cars, they move like 2500lbs cars!!
Does anyone have any information about the set up of these cars?

Rims, tires, swaybars, shock, springs, and etc....

Thanks.

I believe it's "taxi 2" but I have never watched it so I am not sure.

Start by getting some rims then lowering it. if you want luxury ride cut springs want sport ride get sport springs. Then start with oversize sway bar.

I am relaxed.
So those cars in the movie are stock set up? 500e has different shocks, swaybars, rims and tires compare to 320e.

I don't cut springs, but thank you for the advice.
Do you recommend any shocks and springs? If I get swaybars, I will go with either sprotline or 500e ones since my MB is DD.

I not sure if you can make your e320 handle like the 500e even if you were able to get all of the W124.036 suspension components. The 500E was also widened aside from being lowered and to make all suspension components fit into a regular W124 not too mention the additional welding done by Porsche to strengthen the chassis would be a tall order and then some. You will also need to have your car balanced to achieve the 50:50 weight distribution the W124.036 possesses to further stabilize the car. The W124.036 has a handling feel that escapes the majority of modern Mercedes models including the AMG’s...and most other sedans for that matter.

I do know of a 1993 500E transplant into a W124 cabriolet coupe (engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, euro headlights, front and rear fenders, seats as well lots of body mods to make all 500E parts fit) and that job (almost done) is a very careful transplant that required as much welding as the original W124.036 car. Aside from the engine like you said, the cost of a true W124.036 suspension components transplant and the body work to add will cost a lot to begin with.

Thank you for the reply.
Yeah, I kind of figured out that moding W124 e320 costs a lot of money and maybe not worth it. I think I better just buy 500e lol.
I just love moding cars and I have been doing it, but I just figured that moding MB....is a lot harder and more $$ involve compare to BMW or other european cars....

If you know about modding, then it's no mystery to you. Find the right combination of sport springs, shocks, swaybars, brake pads, rotors, brake lines, and the widest tire/wheel combination that can fit. The problem with the W124 is they aren't known for performance and so the available options are limited and thus more expensive (compared to a BMW or Japanese sports sedans) You can adapt some parts from other performance Benz models. The stock 500E has maximized performance so all the costs to modify the 6 cylinder chassis (or engine) is not usually economical for a DD...

If you are set on getting your E320 moded to handle like the 500E and you have the time and $ then go for it, just get the correct measurements for the width increase and make room in the trunk to relocate the battery. Otherwise you are better off getting a 500E to begin with. Good luck and if you go the mod route, let me know and I can get some feedback for you from the shop doing the 500E transplant into a W124 cabriolet coupe.

I haven't decided whether I will put tons of money into my MB.
This is my first 4door sedan that weights 3500lbs with automatic tranny. I have driven only 5 miles since I purchased it due to some problems.
I'm almost done with fixing it and I gotta drive it at least a few month and see whether I will mod it or not.
Like all you guys said, it costs $$ to mod MB, and I am not sure whether it's worth it.
I am sure that I will put bigger rims, wider tires and bigger swaybars though.
I have doen it all the cars that I have owned.

Many modded cars end up costing more than a nice 500e these days.
