need help: conversion to 345mm brake from C32 amg
Hi guys,
who of you did this conversion already?
As I remember ChrisD, right?
I need some Info:
1. Was it necessary to modify anything (I have already 320mm brakesystem)?
2. Did you use the 345mm calipers from C32?
3. Any problems with the long ports for the brake hoses?
That is the system:

and here the brake hose ports.
I am not sure... Maybe they will get in touch with the track rod?

Thanx in advance

Hey,
I kind of cheated with my BBK upgrade. I didn't need to mod anything besides the caliper and rotor. I was able to use the rear portion of the brake caliper off a W215 CL500 or 2002 CL55 AMG - Same thing. Reason being is because like the brake hose part you are talking about does not interfere with the steering knuckle. On the regular C32 calipers you will need to trim down the steering knuckle and that was something I wasn't willing to do. I used C32/C55 rotors as well. You will need to drill the rotor as to where you will bolt the rotor to the hub. Also, I would invest in some L-shape adapters for the Brake line as it'll be tricky routing it so it won't touch anything, it's even harder to play around with the C32 brake hose connection thingy in the way.
Anymore questions let me know - I hope this help you in some way. I'll try to dig around for some pictures of the installation process so you can get a better feel of what I'm talking about.
