Ohh!!! I can't believe it. I also changed by shock absorbers and springs. I took out the shock absorbers by loosening/tightening bolts by hand whereas fixing strut with hexagon tool and no any problem. I don't know what happened to you!!!!

What it wonders to me is the length of the strut, they seem to be too long. Are the shock absorbers suitable for your car? I mean, if you fit the car with shorter springs without changing shock absorbers (they should be shorter too).

I drove the car around last night.. and started to hear a bunch of clicking and clanking coming from the front strut.. pop the hood and that was what i was welcomed to.. I just want to know what is causing that and what keeps the shock from going up like that so i can buy what i need.

Either your strut mount is busted or you didn't put the thick flat washer on the strut shaft before you mount it to the strut mount. The flat washer should stay on the neck of the strut shaft (below the thread) before you push it through the strut mount.

After a closer look at the pictures, I'm positive that your strut mount is busted. The strut mount hole should only let the shafts thread and a small portion of the shaft through the strut mount hole. In your picture the strut shaft went through the strut mount's hole.

Replace the strut mount and you should be ok.

this!

I replaced both strut mounts from BAP/GEON (about $40 bucks each) and it fixed the problem.

Now i just have to replace the blower motor and i should be done with the tons of maintenance ive done with the car.. then on to mods!!

thanks alot guys!
