Well, they are driving a mercedes...the ce w124 is a tank..

epowers, have you seen the monster truck slamming S124 driverside door? That inspires confidence as well, if not do a search here for "bbc youtube mercedes" (its a 4 part series where they tear up an s124 to test it's legendary toughness)

I personally can vouche for the W124 being a safe car - Mine old 300E was totaled before I got my E420.
