Vibration when first cold start
Hi,
I have this weird issue when engine is cold.
I start the engine first in the morning, the whole car vibrates like crazy for 2~4 seconds and during the time the idle is below 500. It all becomes fine after 5 sec....
No problem when the engine is hot.
Any advice on this?

Well I got a different engine than you But I know that the temp sensor controls your computer. Mine was bad and started that issue. Is it missfireing on start? Also I came across some interesting info. Look at your egr valve.and take it off the metal pipe that goes to ur intake clogs up clean it out. I will try to find the link for you.

Well I got a different engine than you But I know that the temp sensor controls your computer. Mine was bad and started that issue. Is it missfireing on start? Also I came across some interesting info. Look at your egr valve.and take it off the metal pipe that goes to ur intake clogs up clean it out. I will try to find the link for you.
Where is the temp sensor? If the sensor is bad, does it cause any other symptoms?
I will check the egr valve.

I turn the key to on, wait a coupla seconds to let the fuel pumps pressurise the system, then start the car.
If you just start it and you fuel pressure regulator is bad you may get that shaking at idle.
Then i'd go to new spark plugs, fuel filter, wires, fuel injector cleaner.
Then stuff like the cold start injector, temp sensor etc

I will start seaching with "cold start" here.
i just read how to clean EGR valve, and it seems like I need an air compressor to blow air in the pipe, which I do not have.
Do I have to buy the air compressor to just clean the EGR valve and pipe...???

OK, the car got worse.
I started the engine and it stalled. I started it again and as usual the whole car vibrated crazy for 3~5 sec.....

What ever you do dont blow the egr with air I busted mine doing that. Take a cable or something and put it in your metal pipe that goes to the intake to see if its clogged. It usually cloggs at intake. Im still trying to find the link hopefully I will find it tonight. Clogged egr pipe give ruff idle like ur explaining.
