Cluster gone haywire!!!

So I put my instrument cluster in and the left side does not work. No oil pressure, no gas, no temp. Nothing. I thought what the heck? So I swapped that entire side with the other one I have. Same deal. The right side works FINE. All lights work. It lies on just the left side of cluster.

When I hit the indicators, the wrong lights come on.

I think the problem lies in that round plug...I had it 1/2 plugged in (not pushed in all the way) and it started smoking!! Was this because I had it 1/2 way in or could this be the problem?

Anyways, I pulled the cover off it, and it kinda "snapped" off and now I've lost its position

I have 20 odd wires with no clue which order they are supposed to go in

Anybody here have a clue how to find out what order these are supposed to be in??

Here's the video of it going haywire

Help!

I plugged it in right I am sure of it. I tried all different orientations and each time different lights came on. Junkyard is last resort...I'm sure nobody will have taken the plug. Seems an odd one.

I "think" I managed to find the electrical diagram for it...but I'm struggling understanding it.

I think the connector is x3 based on the fact it says on the side "15 pole" which is correct.

I see tons of #'s, but I'm not 100% which ones correlate to the x3 connector.
Anybody who can understand this better give a helping hand? I'm all for learning too! Took me a long long time to find this through the 200 pages of electrical diagrams. I went page-by-page because the index was not much help and there IS NO X3 CONNECTOR LISTED IN INDEX. WTH? There is x1, x2....x4, x5. Wth did x3 go LOL? The only one I need is not listed. That's why I had to look page-by-page.

Ok! ps2cho I think this is the correct colour order for 15-pole connector. I haven't could translate what is pole 7 for (but colour are right):

Nē Connector Thickness (mm^2) Colour
1 Mass 0.5 Brown
2 Coolant Temperature sender 0.5 Green
3 Tank sender 0.5 Blue/black
4 Tank reserve switch 0.5 Blue/green
5 Oil sender 0.75 Brown/black
6 Fuse 5 terminal 15 0.75 Black/ Red Violet
7 0.5 White
8 Fuse 7 terminal 15 0.5 Pink/red
9 Terminal 61 0.75 Blue
10 Brake pad wear indicator 2x0.5
2x0.75 (with ASR) Braun/red
11 Parking brake switch 0.5 Brown/white
12 Coolant level switch 0.5 Brown/yellow
13 Light control relay Terminal K 0.5 Grey/violet
14 Left Indicator lights 0.5 Black/White
15 Right indicator lights 0.5 Black/Green

wow Thanks!! I'll try that, but I am concerned over which one is the ground?
Maybe I should create a ground myself.

Sorry, the ground which I refer as "mass" (sorry for the translation), it's the brown wire (conector pin nē 1); and it is connected to the ground point which is located behind instrument cluster, on the left side (You'll recognaize it because there is a lot of brown wires connected to). This ground point is called W1 in your wiring diagram.

To understand the wiring diagram
1. The abbreviation which is near wires is the wire colour (e.g BR=Brown)
2. The number near the colour is the wire thickness (e.g 5 or 0.5 = 0.5 mm^2)
3. The number near wire end is the connector pin which wire is conected (e.g for the brown wire 1 = pin nē1 in the conector)

Got it!!

Looks like the orientation of the plug is actually slightly offset. The picture above shows the flat parts being horizontal, but they are not in reality. All is good now!
