Will 1992 400E seats fit/work in a 1987 300D?

Will 1992 400E seats fit/work in a 1987 300D?
Does anybody happen to know if electronic seats from a 1992 400E fit/work in a 1987 300D? What about the rear seats, are they interchangeable? My originals seats have seen better days.

There was a dimension change around 92 or 93 so double check the dimensions of the mounting pattern on the floor. The power motors are also different so you would have to rewire the plugs or adapt the new seat to the original motors. Not a plug and play...
