Lug nut info

How do you measure a lug nut. I measured from end to end. I got 7 cm. I need 5 more mm. Did I measure correctly.

It really depends on what you mean by measure.

The shank is the same as the blade on a knife. Thats going to be one length.
The head, well, its the head. Thats another measurement.
The combined length of both is the total length of the bolt.

But there is also the diameter of the shank, and also the thread pitch.

Ok I am buying them off of ebay. They are all measured in mm but the way I measured them none were long enough.SO Im guessing measure the shank and that from bottom off ball to end of thread. And add 5 mm for my spacer. Are all mercedes thread the same?
