Fuel pump question 300TE
Just a thought....Does correct fuel pressure mean I am getting the correct quantity of fuel?
I've noticed some weird noises from my fuel pump recently...A lot of "static" type noises from it. Yesterday it was really loud when I went over any rough roads..
..so it got me thinking maybe my idle misfire is a problem with fuel delivery AMOUNT, not pressure? My fuel pressure is on spec.
I should probably buy a new pump anyway. Does my TE have 2 fuel pumps?

So you need to look under the car then. My 91 TE has two- one next to the filter and accumulator, and the second hangs alone just forward of the fuel tank. I don't know why MB did that, when some of the sedans have two pumps side by side next to the filter under that protective cover.
