Idiot Light comes on

Idiot Light comes on
On the dash there is the light that comes on when there is a problem with any of the lights or the headlights are on.
Mine comes on when depressing the brake pedal to shift out of park and stays on. I have checked all of the tail lights and all of the lights in front.
I have replaced the brake lights with 1156 so the wattage would be correct. No difference. Any ideas where the problem may be?
Also, the cruise is intermitent. It seems to always engage but will kick out after a while. I thought maybe having the wrong wattage bulbs would cause both problems, but changing the bulbs had no effect.
