Strange sound coming from Climate Control area

Strange sound coming from Climate Control area
Model: 88 300E
I've noticed the past year, that something has gone a rye with my Climate Control unit or some switch/sensor related to the blower motor. Even with the off setting depressed, the blower will come on at times all by itself. Typically if I brake a bit hard, or accelerate quickly. However, theirs no rhyme and reason. It may simply kick on when I turn the ignition and then turn off. Even more odd is that in order to make sure it stays off, I have to really give the off button a strong pushing. After that, at times, it will make a rattly noise that appears to be coming from behind the climate control unit. It's not the sound of a small broken plastic piece or anything, it sounds almost like a couple of marbles rattling around as the blower motors goes back and forth trying to figure if it's going to stay off or kick on. Thoughts?
