wants to stall at idle, only when cold

hey guys, just like the title says, my 88 300e drops to about 500 rpm, starts to vibrate a little and feels like it wants to stall at idle while its cold. after it reaches about 80 temp its fine. what am i dealing with here? thanks.

Have you replaced the OVP or checked the fuse? Very common culprit for 90% of all stalling issues.

ps2cho, thanks for the replies bud. No i havent replaced the OVP, you say there is a way to check if it is functioning properly by checking the fuse? where is the fuse located?

On top of the OVP. It's right of the battery, can't miss it. If you search, you'll find thread upon thread of this problem
Just because the fuse is intact, does not mean the OVP is OK. EVERY OVP will fail...its common enough that you should replace it without a concern for the $50. If your ABS light is on, its the #1 sign for its failure.

ok but i dont have an ABS light or any other warning displayed.
