Contemplating selling the wide body coupe.

Contemplating selling the wide body coupe.
Even after all the hard work, searching for parts, decisions, more hard work, anticipation etc, I'm considering offering my beloved coupe for sale.
It's not a financial thing - there's no "need" to sell, rather I just seem to have followed a different path (Porsches) since the wb was completed last Spring. I love it dearly, but I'm not doing it the justice it deserves by allowing it to sit in the garage under cover & plugged into the wall while I'm out in my other cars. It should be enjoyed, driven, shown at events and have its picture on the cover of magazines!
Think I'm also scared to drive it.... We spent so much time making everything so damn perfect that I can't bear the thought of the first imperfection. I'm sure that someone who didn't spend all the $$ or time would be less insane than me.
Anyway - the question is, what's it worth. I have no expectations in getting out what what I put in, but I would like to hear opinions. If it's MUCH less that I thought, I'll just keep it & try to overcome my fears... I have it insured (agreed value with Haggerty) for $40k.
Following a very lengthy search, I bought the car in GA in 2005 with around 75k miles. It had been "Starmarked" by Mercedes at 60k, so just about everything was faultless with the car. Not much in the way of records, but my friend at the MB dealership ran the VIN & it had received regular maintenance. A PPI confirmed it's mechanical condition. I haven't had to do much other than the routine maintenance & preventative stuff - the crispy wiring harness was replaced with the revised Denso unit. The car now has around 87k miles.
I can assemble a detailed list of all of the various parts & modifications - as many of you who followed the build know - its a long list....
If anyone is interested - please PM me, though only if truly interested. I may feel differently about this next week, but as of right now....
Thanks all.

How have you been?
There's no ledge, my friend... I appreciate the "talk down", but money isn't the factor in my thinking. It's the fact that I've alway driven the **** out of my cars & I feel strange about pampering this one with such emotion.
There is obviously an undefined price somewhere in my head that I'd sell it for to the right buyer, but like I said, it's not about the money - otherwise I would not have done it in the first place! The great thing is that I have absolutely NO regrets whatsoever in building this car. I felt that the world needed a coupe version of the 500e & I considered it my "calling"! Some people have religion, I have something else....
I haven't seen another AMG GenII front bumper for sale in quite a while... I purchased mine from Eddie @ flying tiger motorsports a few years ago.
Mike at Motorwerks performed the hard work of widening it & integrating the license plate delete panel.

Great looking car, I have a 1989 300CE, looking for a hood like yours. Where can I get that same type of hood (assuming it came off a different make and model MB)

To do it the right way! you have to change hood, headlights, the trim piece under the headlight and grille from a 1994-95 E class! that way everything lines up!

yeah already got the euro style lights, and the replacement trim piece for once I remove the headlight wipers, sounds like I will just need the grill and hood... and a paint job, and... man this stuff adds up fast :-)

What ever happened to this beautiful machine? Yes I know this post is 100 years old. But I am thinking of doing a similar build... Figured I would give it a shot.

I think my build is slightly better, even with a bad paint job, it beats that blue car, tons of $$$ in mine.
1. For starters ( 1995 C36 Engine and Trans)
2. 500E front and rear seats (Front seats recline)
3. 1999 SL 500 Silver Arrow Brakes, Upgraded MB and BB
4. 500e Steering, have a Wood version, like the look in my coupe . Will put that in my cabriolet project in the works
5. OZ 3 piece 17 (8.5 and 10) waiting to be put on. Now has stock c36 rims
And many more, will upload pics later this week.
