Get regular headlights without the yellow and put in yellow fog bulbs, that way when the lights are off, they don't look gay.

I really like those actually.

Are they yellow due to the amber cap in the fog housing or something else?
Is this causing the yellow?

Because if so, I'm picking this set up.

No. The reflector lens in those lights is yellow. Personally I think it severely dates the car and makes it too busy in the front.

hell yeah, me too man, if i ever get around to opening up my projectors i'm going to try and paint the inner part to look like that too. i think it gives the ride an old-school euro feel, especially with all the LEDs and HIDs out there now...

Exactly Zed. There is something really appealing to me about the old Euro styling. This just fits the look of the car so well.

However, the two round lenses in the rectangular housing on the w123 is kinda... shudder inducing.

Can anyone get me a part number for the Amber reflector lenses?

Thank you much Zed. I've emailed him and await a reply. I really appreciate you lookin out
Although, the US Spec part is making me think he actually has the little glass caps that go over the bulb instead.
these things (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...Q5fAccessories)
In any case, we'll see shortly.

This old "gay blade" has given in to his less then contemporary taste in motorcars and purchased the subject Hella "gay" French headlights...

They will proudly be installed along with the French yellow driving lights for the AMG GEN I spoiler on my old school widebody C124 build....

The driving lights came from the same German seller and arrived a few weeks ago...

I like old school....especially when period correct...

Ed A.

P.S.

I may have a bunch of leftover stuff for sale when I finish the build....

Ed, I'd hate to be a pain in the ***, but can you see if the Amber reflectors in the Hella Euros have a part number or something? I'm really interested in getting them but I don't want to shell out of a whole new pair of headlight assemblies

Brett

Not a problem...

PM me in about two weeks as they should arrive by then...

I ask this reminder because my weary old mind tends to wander...

Just nabbed these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

The seller and I have tentatively determined that these, though from a w201, will pop right into the w124 housing. I'll post results/Part Numbers when I get them.

Really excited

Hey Ed, got my gay lights

No part numbers that I can see on them

However, the seller told me this much:
Removed from a 1985 190E. These reflectors will work on either the left or right side. They are identical.
Also used on the 1984 and some 1986 190E and D models.

Now to figure out how to get these installed. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon I'll have them mounted

Yeah, they don't work on the European spec lights for the 86-93 w124. They are a different size/shape and the tabs are wrong. On top of that installation would consist of me having to bake the housings which is a no-go.

So, these may be for sale shortly.

I'm still looking for French-spec Yellow fog reflectors then.

Mr Z....

My oh so gayyyyy bon vivant French Hella headlights arrived today from the Motherland...

Much to my surprise attached to the bottom was the even gayer Euro wiper/washer assembly with the correct filler plate...
Also the hose and pump were in the box...
Looks like they were taken out of a silver 124...

Wipers are good as they make the build more Euro trash authentic...

Oooooh La La....
