Weird OVP problem

Okay, so i just changed the ovp relay as recommended maintainance.. to my surprise the ABS light that was always on went away! also my idle was always at 500.. even when the car was cold and i start the car.. which is very odd..
today the car would not crank, and when it did.. when i tried to give it some gas, it would just stall :/ i kept cranking and cranking and revved till it acted normal again.. maybe i got a faulty ovp relay?

what do you guys think about this situation?

ABS light is always a huge indication of OVP. Very common.

Swap back OVP's and see if the car will start. Might help you figure it out. Could just be coincidence though...Even when the OVP is dead, I've never heard of starting issues.

old one starts up fine, but abs light goes back on, and the rpms are at 1,200ish, then drops to 800, then about 700 when operating temp instead of 500 all the time..seems real odd.. maybe its my starter?

I have a diesel but the two times I've had an ABS light on AND low idle it was my OVP relay - interesting that you swapped it out and fixed you ABS light but got a low idle...does seem odd. Did you swap out fuses or the entire relay itself?

did not swap out the fuses on the relay.. didn't know what the fuses did, and the fuses looked fine.. also i swapped it back to the old one as i'd rather have an abs light on rather than a questionable idle ;p
