Interior Parts
I am trying to redo my interior from palimino to black. I have new seats, A & C pillar covers (will either find B or recover) still need the center trans cover.
I also have seats from a 92.
What I really need is a new carpet. Anyone know where I can find a new black or really dark grey carpet? Replacement already molded is preferred. I have been looking online all oer the place and can't find one. I have purchased replacement ones for all kinds of other cars for ~$200 or under. Any help is welcome.
Thanks,
-pat

I heard they are a real b**** to get out, plus I don't ever want to pull another set of seats when there is no battery in the car!!
Do you think if I caould get a decent one from the yard, and had it cleaned, would it really be clean? I don;t know what these carpets are made of.
Side question, did the w124 come with Black carpet?

Chris,
I would be all over your car if:
1) I had any more room for another car (I already own 5)
2) My wife wouldn't try murder me with some part from the car.
Seriously ... are you parting the car now? Maybe we can make a deal for the whole interior ...

Seat Questions
I have been looking through all the different styles of 300's and noticed there are three major types of seats. Can anyone enlighten me on what the differences are? Are they not leather if they are a certain style? Are they just different by year? I am attaching pictures of the three types i am referring to hopefully you can help me out.

Not sure about the first, likely very early MBtex.
The second is real leather. I'm not sure of the difference between heated and non heated, but my heated leather looks like those.
The third is MBtex. I had that in my '91 300e. I personally think it was superior to my 500e's real leather in many ways. Feel, durability, comfortableness, and look. I had my Mtn. bike in the back seat for a few hot days last year and the sprocket left a bad stretch/scar in my rear seat. A couple more days in the heat and the mark completely disappeared.

Now I am more confused than ever. The fist one looks exactly like the ones in my car currently. I would swear they are real leather as the is a tear in one of the fronts and it looks like hide. What exactly is MB-Tex?
The middle ones are just like the new seat I got. I am very happy with those, but I haven't installed them yet. (Need carpet) The third I have seen in newer cars (93-95) in almost every one. Just about every wagon as well. What struck me was the lines (chords) go all the way from front to back where the first ones they only go up to a point.

The first is not MBTex, it's the early style leather (with horsehair padding). They switched to foam padded leather sometime around 1990, and the seats look different. The middle is the late style leather. The third one is MBtex. AFAIK, the heated seats look no different, they just have the heater element underneath the covers.
