5 Speed or auto
I'm looking at bringing a Euro spec'd 300CE, 91 back from Italy to the states. What kinda resale does a 5 speed have over an auto car?
I'm not looking to do this for money reasons, honestly, I would yank the engine and trans and shove a LS/T-56 in the 300, but if I can send it over cheap and sell the engine and trans for some decent coin I would.
So, my question is, how many people wished they had a manual trans in their Benz?

First do a search on importing a non-USA vehicle. I believe the 300CE was imported and certified, so you will be able to skip the crash test but sill need to federalize your specific one. Once you written teh proper quantity of checks and have a pile of "documents" that fill the trunk, you will have your 5 spd coupe. If it were me, I'd buy one already here and pop a five speed in it if you must have that.
Personally I don't think a Mercedes, let alone a 124 is the kind of car you want as a manual.
I have a 94 124 coupe and consider it a cruiser, and hence would not at all want a manual in it.
That being said, I am a person who prefers manual to auto
