Front ball joint questions

Front ball joint questions
I am needing to replace my ball joints on the front end of my 94 E320 so here are a couple of questions.
1. Can the ball joints be pressed out of the control arms and news ones pressed in or do I have to replace the entire control arm?
2. Spring compressor. What works and is safe with the w124 and were to get it.
3. Anything else I should know that you might have experienced with this front end work?

Your car (1994+), you will need complete arms with ball-joints...
