No 124 owners?
I can't believe there aren't any posts here in the 124 section. The 124 was the most popular Mercedes model to date! And nobody has any comments or questions on them?

nope, i just sorted the threads from "the beginning" in reverse order of last post. It was the oldest one and I thought it was funny considering the amount of w124 owners on this board now.

lots of cars
I'm not sure but i think it has to do with the settings. My car dosen't blow air from the middle unless i press one of those other buttons.. I don't really know because i live in so cal and it's always sunny so i never use the heater.

Heater is supposed to come from the outside vents and the ac is supposed to come throught he middle vents. If you feel hot air through the middle, there is a vacuum leak.... I think

Just to reinforce, this topic has come up either here or on other forums. MB designed your car this way on purpose. The heat only comes out of the defrost vents and the side vents. A/C comes through the center vents, although I think it might also go through the sides as well.
Maybe the idea was that the cold is coming from outside the car... i.e. the windows are cold, which makes the interior air get cold. So heating the perimeter of the car will counteract the cold air at its source. Just a theory.
