Alright thank you.
I hope my dad will buy me thenew rims and tires, so i just need to buy the bilstein sport suspension and probably the eibach lowering springs.

How much should i expect to pay in total for the bilstein suspension and the eibach lowering kit?

Then i will just buy whatever i can with my leftover money..If i have enough.
Probably just LED interior lights, window tint, Stereo (not speakers just the thing in the center..whatever thats called), K&N air filter (need a new filter anyways).

My budget is about $2000 (maybe a bit more), so i should be able to afford all of that stuff and then some..Depending on the total price of the springs and suspension.

Any other ideas on what i could get?

I was just at best buy earlier today..and i found an ALPINE stereo on sale for $167 and it is originally $300. Its Ipod ready with bluetooth and all that new technological stuff. So, i kind of want to buy it and get it installed maybe tomorrow if i can.

I was just wondering if anyone knew how much the installation would be. Its not the speakers or anything just the stereo box thing with all the controls (to change stations, volume etc).
My dad said he thought it would be really expensive to get it installed ($150-200)..would it really be that costly??

I don't remember arguing with what anyone has said on this thread.
I was just asking how much installation is for the new stereo deck, because it said $50 on the BestBuy website, but for some reason some places charge extra for european cars.

Oh and NEXT TIME you try to make fun of someone for being dumb, you better make sure you don't have any spelling errors. That just shows who the true DUMB As* is.

Actually, Ed's spelling mistake almost spelled feces. Which is what this thread consists of in the way of requests.

It was painful, but early on, Brett showed some real tolerance and respect. I wuz impressed. But this kid is in wannabe mode for the next decade or so.

And Ps2cho's last response was great.

"One who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; one who does not ask a question remains a fool forever." CHINESE PROVERB

You can't always believe everything you read on the internet. I did look up how much installation for the stereo system was, i was trying to ask people who knew what they were talking about..

I didn't know such a simple question was so hard to get an answer for. Why couldn't someone just say $50-$75.
I ask a question and you guys act like i have offended someone or broken a law.

Installation of the headunit is very, very easy if you took the time to research rather than post. All the information is out there. I have even posted it myself if you search my name. A total of 4 wires need to be spliced.

PS: We can all quote to make us sound smarter than we are..

Ok guys i need an honest opinion on rims now.
I have seen some pictures of W124's with BBS LM rims and i think they look amazing on the W124.

So i found some rims that look kind of similar to the BBS LM but not exactly the same.

http://www.dragwheels.com/product.asp?ID=59

Do you guys think these will look as good as the BBS LM?
Will they even look good at all?
Im just worried because the BBS LM are much more deep dish. The Drag DR19 rims are only a 1.43" lip..and im guessing BBS is atleast a 2.5" or so.

Also the center of the Drag DR19 rims is kind of outward a little, and the centercap on the BBS LM is a little more inward.
The other clear difference i noticed is that the BBS LM are a bit more flat than the DRAG DR19..

So if anyone has any opinions please post them =)

Thanks

So why don't you go with the BBS LM's then? I debated over getting the aftermarket Monoblock II replicas, then decided why should I settle for something that I really don't want. A few months later I found the set of AMG's I have on today?

Find the BBS LM's...be patient...you will be happier in the long run. Search craigslist, ebay and google.

It is better to spend money once on the right thing and be satisfied than to spend it incrementally on things that aren't what you want and will not satisfy.

That is a great point Saijin. I couldnt agree more..

And i can't get the BBS LM because they are $3,000-$4000 for a set of rims.
Believe me, if i had that money to throw down on rims i would.
The thing is though, if you have ONLY $4,000 you can't just spend it all on rims. especially without an income.

I was just looking for opinions.
I personally think it would look good..but i won't know till i put them on.

I bet you could find a nice used set for a decent price.

Like I said, it takes effort if you REALLY want them. I didn't find my set of Monoblock II's overnight. I checked craigslist every morning for 2 months straight before I found a set within my allocated price range. We can't hold your hand here. By all means ask questions, but you need to do the research and monkey work first.

If you're on a budget get LM reps....if you don't know where to get them, learn how to use google or craigslist. If you're not sure if they will fit, use the search function on this site.

Yeah i guess a used set would be okay. A set in good condition (no road rash, scratches, etc) is probably still about $2000 im guessing. Ill look that up just to get a more accurate price.

But i would figure most stuff out on my own, its just that, Im not even 16 quite yet. I havn't really ever worked on any cars in my life, so a lot of stuff i learn is still new to me.
I try to figure it out, learn what it does, how it works, how to make it better, etc. But some stuff just totally confuses me because sometimes i find various information.

If anyone knows any good threads on here that expain a lot of how all of this stuff works (what fits, good upgrades, etc) then i would love to check it out.

In the meantime though, yesterday, i bought an Alpine CDA-9886 stereo dock. Pretty nice stereo dock, looks good and all. Has anyone had any past experiences with this stereo dock or similar ones? How does it sound with the stock W124 stereo system?
I know i will find out either tomorrow or thursday when i get it installed, but i just wanted to make sure it will still sound good in a W124.
