Cabriolet headliner question
I have noticed that when I put the top down on my Cab that the long plastic "circlips" that hold the headliner to the roof bows pop off when I put the top back up, requiring me to "push" them back up and on afterward so the headliner does not hang down too low. I replaced the small retaining screws at each end with slightly longer ones plus a fender washer because the plastic had cracked which allowed the ends to pull away, but this did not help. My R129 SL uses that same system and does not suffer from this problem. Has anyone had this problem with their Cabriolets. Is there a fix for it?
Thanks,

Both of mine do it and I have just pushed them back up like you say. The lower milage car with less roof use does it less though.
I have often thought of how to fix but it looks like you need to peel the hood back to do so.
