500E

The cars were designed to cruise for hours, safely, at over 100mph.
On Germany's autobahns, with no speed limit, this was no problem.
The car even had an extra set of "pencil" high-beam headlights in place of the normal fogs. The extra high-beams meant that the driver could see further ahead at night, giving him time to react or brake while still driving at extreme high speeds.

The ride was firm , yet still luxurious and comfortable. Lowered and widened the car handled very well, and more importantly safely, with additional suspension tweaks/upgrades, and a special hydraulic rear suspension.

All this and they looked pretty much like a regular 300E sedan. The "Bankers's Hot Rod", ultimate stealth sedan!!!

Thank you all for the responses.
I definately will use some of that information =). Especially the 500E info cause im making a whole paragraph about that car.
I am a bit worried about the time limit. Yikes.
There are so many special things about the W124 (in my opinion), i could talk on and on about them all day.!

Im ready to take some sh** from the class. I don't think they are going to like when i call it the best mercedes ever built..
So, i need to add in all the most interesting information about the W124 so they can see why it truely is a great car.

I'd focus on the remarkable engineering and fabulous build quality.
The sophisticated new multilink rear suspension and the revolutionary new aerodynamic body design and styling, resulted in a car that had superior ride and handling, and perhaps the lowest drag coefficient in the industry.

The last of real tuff built mercedes, pure breed German automobile without a dought!!!! They don't make em like that anymore!!!!!! My father bought it brand new in late 1993(94' model)and gave it to me in 96'me, and I have the car today and still runs strong, I've had this car for fourteen years of aggressive driving, and tell you what, no car would last a week after being abused like that, the w124 the best all around original Benz ever!!!!! I love this car!!!! It's a tank!!!!I now own a 03'CL55 ///AMG, but I still adore my w124.

Zach

Learn at your young age not to care about what others may think about you and what you own.

If you don't you'll just be another generic individual who follows the crowd just to be accepted.

In the late 40's early 50's when Rolls Royce / Bentley started to build what eventually became the "standard steel saloon" ( meaning not coach built ) cars, the only difference between a Rolls and a Bentley were the trim and emblems.
You paid about $600.00 more to get the Roller "Flying Lady" on the grille shell.

The common phrase from Bentley owners was : " I'm secure enough to drive a Bentley"

Look at life this way and be lead by your confidence and self esteem as others that you try to be accepted by are truly no better then you !!!

Good Luck

Ed A.
