1988 300E No Spark!
Im not getting a spark on the spark plug test! Just changed the two fuses in the OVP relay one was completely broken and bent in opposite directions...
I just put all new ignition parts on! Cap, rotor, used ignition coil from the junkyard, brand new spark plugs.
The battery is about 4 years old but its good and I just had it charged...
Would the next step be the ignition control module???

MBWorld Fanatic!
Can you borrow
an ovp or get the upgraded style?
Something caused the old one to blow and it could be internal to the ovp.
Rule that out first.

The OVP looks relatively new. Im guessing its been replaced once during the life of the car. A new fuse was put in in 2007.
I don't have an extra one!
Should I just go ahead and buy a new one from Autohausaz since I know that it has blown a fuse recently...

My OVP relay rattles when you shake it!
I heard that means its probably bad but that was for a car that was running...
If I change out the OVP relay and I still don't get a spark what would be next?
