1995 e 320 wagon
Newbie question, 1995 e 320 Wagon, how to lower backseat.
Just got a 1995 e 320 wagon. Love it! One reason I got it was because of all the cargo room. But I can't figure out how to lower the rear seat to make the extra room. I know how to lift the bottom of the seats forward but I can't figure out how to remove the headrest and lower the seat backs. I raise the headrest to the highest position and then try pressing on the "button" like the manual suggest. But the button doesn't budge no matter how much pressure I put on it (a lot!). If it was just on one of the headrest I might think it was something wrong with the particular button, but it is on all of them. What is the trick? Also how do the rear seat backs lower down? The manual really just glances over that one. It just talks about removing the headrest then lower the back, but doesn't say how, no mention of any levers or anything. Does the back just unlock once the headrest are removed
? Any help for this MB newbie is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

On the steel bars of the headrest...follow them down to the top of the seat...and look for little black nubs sticking UP from the top of the seat. pushing them in allows the headrests to pop right out.
Then the seat backs can come forward/ drop down flat. I'd take a pic but have the convertible no wagon here.

But how do you push the nubs down
Hi, Thanks for the reply but how do you push the nubs down. They aren't budging on any of the headrest. Like I said I am putting a lot of pressure on them trying to push them down, there has to be some kind of trick. If I get a chance I will take a picture too.

Yes sticking up and pressing as hard as I can
HI, Yes sticking up about an inch, I tried pressing very hard, not budging any.
You said you pulled the headrests all the way up. Push them back down a little (halfway or so) and then press the little black tab and while it's pressed down pull the headrests all the way out (it might be hard to press because they are all the way up). To lower the sat back (which you can still do with the headrests in place) just grab the top of the back and pull it to the front of the car. Nothing special required there.
