Drag Racing and E500E Mini-Meet

"AMG Dave" brought two of his cars to Mission Raceway in Mission BC, Sept 2nd - 6th.
Running near-stock .036's, except for ASR Defeat and LSD, he put in a very competitive showing.
Needless to say, he had the only MB's there. In fact, the officials could not tell his two cars apart and thought he was trying to run one car in two different classes!

Over the weekend, Dave was able to attract some of us local E500E owners to come out. I brought my '92, Valvefloat brought his newly aquired '93 in Anthracite Grey, and a mysterious fellow, "Gary", turned up with a Sapphire Black Limited. Five cars in all.

It was a pleasure to meet both Dave, who has given everyone so much help on the forum, and his wife, who is a racer and a real enthusiast, too!

I wasn't able to get shots of all the cars together, but I did take a few of Dave's cars and my own while we waited for the track to dry.

Great shots! Thanks so much for posting them. My favorite part is the healthy dose of rubber on Dave's rear bumper.
