5W30 Mobil Synthetic in 1992 w124 250D??
I put 5W30 Mobil Synthetic in my 1992 w124 250D (OM602) after my trusted mechanic and local racing parts store recommended it.
My other mechanic friend says I did a BAD thing, that the oil is too thin and might cause engine damage.
Should I drain the oil???
I'm thinking of putting in AMSOIL 15W40 Synthetic.
Help!

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.

diesel m1 5w30 does not meet mb spec for high temp shear.
229.3 or 229.5 0w40
you don't need the low ash oils 229.51 since you don't have a particulate filter.
Just wait and change the oil at your next change it will not hurt the engine.
