m104 timing chain removal

I have included a picture of my progress. On the YELLOW line, I removed the tension bolt but its not enough to remove the chain. any ideas?

and one more thing. around the red box area.. for m104 expert.. was that a pump just to circulate egr gases? the unit that was on this motor was even re manufactured. but I removed it because I am going with Megasquirt on this motor

thanks =D

Not an expert on 104, but believe the pump you removed is an air/smog pump

Depends on the day
What do you mean it's not enough to remove the chain? The thing you removed was the chain tensioner, all it does it push that one rail towards the driver side to keep the chain from going slack at any point. What are you trying to accomplish? I just got done rebuilding the front of my engine after my oil pump blew out so that area of the engine is still somewhat fresh in my mind.

The thing in the red box is where the air pump goes. It's just for emissions.
