CD-R in old 1991-3 10 disc changer?
We do not have a cd changer in our 400E and I would prefer to install a new/old model Alpine (which we have bought of eBay) but the required, very expensive when it was available, cd translator is not available at the moment from Mercedes.

Also, some older MB changers and in-dash units have been (and can be) upgraded to use one of the newer, short wavelength IR "sleds" so that they can read CD-Rs as well.
Hope this helps

PIE is one of the better adapter makers, and if I had a 94+ or a 90 or earlier I would have no problem.
The 91-93 Beckers had a two piece system head unit in dash and the tuner in the trunk.
