You should find 3mm spacers on the front with 225/40/18 tyre gives good ride quailty and no rubbing
For the rear wheels use a 255/35/18 tyre , or you could use 235/40/18 the offset should be fine
I can personally recommend falken 452's

The offsets and diamater is way off for CE. Given these are 44mm offset, I would have to say they were designed for the S class, which would be a good indicator the lugs are 14mm not 12mm (as used on the W124)

The diamater is another issue, way to wide to work on a CE, even if you roll the lips. Widest you can safely use is around 8" and maybe a 8.5" in the rear. Assuming of course you run some insane negative camber.

Hmm, interesting. I have yet to see any wheel larger than a 8" diamater that does not rub on a standard W124, but maybe you will have better luck than the others. (I ran a 17x8 on my 300e)

Posting ae AMG factory install doc for you, good information for installing a 8.5" wheel on a W124. Should help you with your project. Note that not only does is cover rolling the lips and pounding the inner fender, but it also covers installing the fender spacers (required to run a 8.5" wheel)

Rick...

Great document...
Do you know how they achieved the below instruction?

B. Modifications to the chassis
In conjunction with 17-inch AMG disk wheels, the
front axle compression travel on all vehicle models
must be reduced in order to ensure adequate
clearance under extreme wheel compression.

Was it as described further on and if so does any of your documentation show what thickness washer?

5 Install spring travel limiting washer (5) on piston
rod (1) over stop buffer (4).

Assume this part number if still available was for this purpose ?

Spring travel limiter kit H WA124 323 01 44

Thanks

Ed A.

I run 18x 8.5" Aero2's et 44 with standard arches by using Staggered tyre sizes and 3mm spacer on front,
I also run 8+9 x 17 summer wheels et 35 using 215/40/17 Tyres.
