Wiper Problem! 93 300E 2.8
I believe that when repair by former owner was done that the wiper was not aligned & returns to wrong position 1/3 way up on glass from normal rest position below the glass. When in use it makes terrible knock sound with every cycle. I have reviewed several posts on wiper system & they do show how to adjust, but do not show how to line up the one arm bandit to beginning setting. After reviewing wiper system info I'm still having problem removing the cover as well. Any helpful hints to cover removal? Also after attempting removal, the system has developed short & blows #2 fuse every time I turn wiper on. I was able to pull the system on 94 E320 in the local bone yard to get a feel for how it was put together, but having no luck on my '93 300E. The wiper motor works, but then fuse blows. Any advise on these problems would be greatly appreciated as RainX in Florida tunderstorms is not an effective stop gap solution. Thanks, Tracy
