Here are two pics of my '86 300E. I plan to drop it by at least one more inch. It might look low enough in these dark pics but the fenders are about 1.5" - 2" higher than the tyres.. too high, for my taste...

Wheels are 1/6 Carlsson, 18x8 et35 (I've punched that out to et38 though)
rears 225x45x18
fronts 215x45x18
4 fenders rolled, no spacers
I think no rubbing, but have learned not to confirm that until a few weeks of driving.
(225x40x18 tires are confirmed w no rubbing)

I love the Factory look of the Barbus Mono III's but I have to say I was very worried about the 19" size and how they would ride. I made sure to get a tire that was rated high in ride comfort and low in noise and weight. The 19" ezaly ride as well as the 17" I had before, and maybe even a bit better so I'm sticking with the 19's !!!
