actually i know some guy that works on w124's he has a white coupe that he's working on he dropped a corvette engine in that freaking thing!!! i don't know about all that stuff but what ever floats your boat i guess

Yeah, we actually got one here in Norway also that has put a Corvette engine into his W124. And he even got it street legal, and there is more than a few things that need to be done right to be able to get that approval over here..

But I think I agree, it does become a hybrid with a Chevy engine in a Mercedes.. Bet it runs great and all, but I would still prefere one powered by a V8 Benz...

I see your point, but I think otherwise. Some people don't like going through the hassle of installing turbos. Some people don't start with the M104's which are SOMEWHAT moddable, more so than the smaller engines. Some people choose to swap the whole thing out, and in my opinion if you're installing a MB V8 or a GM V8, you're doing the same amount of work. I actually think with the GM V8's, it'll be significantly easier to do. Not to mention the very common existence of manual transmissions!

If I didn't care about my car's eventual re-sale value, there'd be a small block Ford or Chevy in there right now. :P

Looks and drives as new!
And it should.. just spent $3k on the a/c
New injector wire harness..
Struts, water pump.. usual stuff....

Now.. doooo I keep it or sell it!
