My god! That's one nice wagon. I'm looking for those wheels too but I wonder if they would look good polished?
Anyway very nice car! Are you going to stay with the dual colours?

Jeff, polished looks good, do NOT get chrome though...eww

The BEST IMO are the Brilliant Edition like mine which is an unbeleivable silver finish and if you get the 2/6 piece it has a polished lip.

Z, do you have close up pics of your rims? I'm wondering which degree of polish to go for too!
And for the record, my car is turning glacier (or whatever, just the whitest white) this June! I actually have the car booked in already
I was thinking whether I shuold polish the existing AMGs first, and change to Carlssons or Wald if it doesn't look good enough..

Z. I've had a look at your rims on your website. I love your rims too but I was thinking if my rims would look good polished to a lesser degree than your 2/6's lips. I just want a subtle appearance nothing flashy if you see what I mean

Yeah...keep it somewhat low profile looking. I'd go with almost a match to your current rims...just a little more polished.

I finally got my hands on a digital camera so here some pictures I took of the exterior. I'll try and upload some of the interior soon. I haven't done too much to it. I painted the grill insert a flat black, which i think turned out great. Anyway let me know what you think.

it's hard to get over how immaculate your car is, it's more like a show car than a daily driver, no flaws in it at all. as close to the perfect w124 as you can get, i think...

Hardly perfect, my friend I have rust on the driver's door (you can see it on the second pic from the top, front edge of my door handle, look down, where the cladding meets the body) that needs work and the front bumper needs a re-spray BAAAAD.

Thanks for the compliments, your W124 ain't no slouch, either!

I simply cannot understand NOT loving those headlights man. In fact, ignoring the fact that the quality is not likely as good as OEM, I think they look 5X better than '94-'95 or euro's.

BTW: did you shoot the calipers or were they red when you bought it Mark? Either way, is the red paint holding up?

FYI, I painted my stock calipers black (just to clean things up a little really). I didn't even use high temp paint. I used this paint for ceramics and they are holding up really well.. but again, my car does around 500miles per year.. I promise I'll bring it out more when I've got the paintjob done!!

I painted my calipers back in 2003 using proper caliper paint and they look ok now but definitely need a re-coat. Will do this spring.
