Hey all,

Could someone please explain how the pad system works when lowering a car, what the different numbers are, and how much they lower the car. Also, if you could discuss what the upside and down sides are to changing the pads, and which numbers work best.

Thanks

Diesel

Beautiful Mercedes...duh
I bought this for my wife. I really do not have the heart to modify anymore than it already has been. It handles fantastic, and has very nice acceleration for such a small engine. The color is more of champagne, but in the pic, it looks grey. It is just a beautiful car. 1990 300 TE

I have problems attaching photo's too. The last message box stated:
The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 1 bytes.
I tried resizing them but am not sure how small to go.

BTW Saint, maybe it's my resolution but I can't see your TE pics. There's just a box and an x in it.

On my pic, It does the same thing to me. I right click on the "X" and select "show picture" and then it shows on mine. Maybe it is the web site hosting my pic that is causing the problem.

Also, you cannot edit your post after a certain amount of time, so I had to repost.

Unfortunately, this web site does not allow you to edit your posts after a short amount of time. So, this is my fourth post.

Let's try it again

The pic looks like the paint is gray, but is more of a champagne. I have bought clear corner lights, but have not installed them yet. I think the chrome fender trim looks sharp.

Nice wagon, Saint! I am not usually (ok never lol) a fan of the chrome fender trim on W124's but with those wheels, it looks quite suited!!

BMW Draparen, well there is nothing I can really say except I hate you and your M119 powered 500E!!!! W124.036 is king!!!

The car is original except for the W210 Avantgarde wheels that I bought extra to have some winter tires when delivered. The org. 8.loch will be used in winter seasons to come but in the summer I will use the Carlssons (see Cardomain page)

Hey Doc, there's a fine line between constructive criticism and just being an A$$#ole. I wasn't pretending, can you read my mind? Some people aren't all about the same "mods" you are into and we should respect that. Oh, and while yes you are entitled to your opinion, ever heard of tact?

Benzari: I love that color!

I'm still having problems attaching pictures. I can downsize mine from 500kb to 28kb but how do you make a 1 byte picture?

It states:
vBulletin Message: The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 1 bytes.

They use the [img] function, the acutal pictures are hosted by another site. You just aren't allowed to upload them to this site anymore.

In order to get your picture to show, you have to first upload your picture to a site that will "hold" them for you. I was trying to use geocities at first, but they have come down on this since too many people were putting pics on there for their ebay ads. When you pic get a"hit" too many times, they turn it off. Everytime this thread gets viewed, my pic would get a hit. So, I had ended up having the pic hosted at another site that allows this. When you have you pic hosted at another site, then all you have to do is copy the entire address, click on "img" button in your post, and paste that address.

As for the chrome....I bought this car for my wife a few months ago. This is what the previous owner had done. He did not give me a list of other things he had done, but the wheels are 16", and the suspension is real tight, and think it may have been lowered just a tad for handling. I don't know, I do not really care. My wife LOVES the car, and she digs the chrome...and so do I.

You see, personal preference is everything. Some of you guys have done things to you MB....that I personally think look like crap. But, that's me. My taste do not run that way.

I look at your car (Doc), and I see someone who has overcompensated for something....some men do this for VERY personal reasons...I think you know what I mean.

BTW...do not worry about tact or my feelings here....you see....I am an A**hole too, so F***off LOL

Oh, and thanks for posting my pic again...Damn, my car is sharp.

Do people like you? Don't answer that. Are you unhappy?

Since this a pic thread, I will not continue, but man did I hit a nerve or what?

Doc, one last thing....you cannot see it in the pic, but the car has a CHROME license plate in front Did your head just explode?

The rest of you....this really is a great thread. I have enjoyed looking at all your rides.

The thing that strikes me the most, is that MB owners as a whole, take the best care of their cars. You guys have probably found this yourself. I would take a 10 year old well kept MB over a brand new average car anyday.
