ZedStyle,... many people may assume that I could be a "yakuza" based on appearance, but the truth is I am a gentleman inside, just like the guy next to you. I don't think you want to know the "few other cars" I mentioned. w/ smiles Jimmy

Just curious Jimmy, does the 'sa' character on your number plate denote something in particular? Just found it odd that its tiny and by itself before the numbers (taking a Modern Japan class and trying to learn as much as I can!) Thanks!

ATLS124,...the small character "sa" before the numbers can be analogized as alphabets (they're just sound vowels w/o any meanings by themselves). As to why they are smaller is size, your guess is good as mine. Hope this helps. w/ smiles Jimmy

Absolutely stunning! Any idea on how many E60's were produced? Again, you have a real gem there, must be awesome cruiser on the highway and through the twisties, any chance you could get some videos?

So what are those "few other cars" which you mentioned? Share the wealth... err, the toys! Thanks.

Thanx Appatula: Let me suffice to relay my experience at the time of acquisition. Originally, I was eager to find either E500 or 500E (I wasn't even aware of the existence of E60 back then). When I finally located a shop w/ a magnificent E500 for sale, I went for test drive which was impressive to say the least. I was sold. But then, the shop happened to have this E60 also and after test driving her in succession, there was no turning back even tho the price difference was significant. I think I hesitated for about 10 seconds. I still remember mumbling to myself as I test drove, "is the speedometer broken ? What is this sensation, handling ? Even the factory stock sound system is nothing I experienced before ! on and on. Even a casual step w/ your right foot translates instantly into bodily Gs. If you have a "heavy" right foot, you'd notice the triangle, orange warning lamp telling you that rear tires spinning. (At first, for the initial weeks after purchase, I wasn't aware of what this orange lamp was so I called the shop about it, wondering if something was broken. His response was, rear tires' spinning...better get used to that right foot "touch".) I wasn't even aware of how much gas I was feeding her. From standstill in idle, the engine sound is very quiet and uneventful. Once you start giving a little gas, literally it is a take-off w/ big, fat rear tires gripping tarmak. Cruising down a highway thinking you're behaving, you quickly notice that you're way over the speed limit. (Whenever I get speeding tickets, it's this car because I am not aware how fast I am going). You just don't realize how much torque and HP are under that hood. They are evened out by excellent handling and front/rear weight ratio (51/49 ?). Let's say you're casually cruising at 150km/hr, the sensation you get is equivalent to 100km/hr. I am told that the true power band is north of 3000rpm and north of 200km/hr. Unfortunately, there's no public road available to enjoy that thrill. (80km/hr is the max speed limit in Japan). You can approach a curve at 150km/hr with confidence and without trajeckting off or tilt. All this w/ riding comfort, enjoying whatever music you're listening to. When I have a passenger next to me, he/she often complains riding sickness. Words don't do justice. You have to experience the sensations. w/ smiles Jimmy

You're most welcome. Lunch is on me then. It's too bad normal street speed limit is 50kph and highway is 80kph here. I see you're from Conn. I have fond memories of my few years in Springfield, Mass. Also had a college mate from Norwalk, CT. Some times in NYC & Boston too. Love to be back in New England myself, especially the autumn season. w/ smiles Jimmy
